Hello please see my crisp misprinted 2006 $1bill I have. I keep it in a plastic sleeve. I got it from the grocery store and the worker had it out of her drawer showing people.I was next in line, and she gave it to me with my change. Can anyone tell me more about it. If its worth more than 1$. Thank you, Krystal
So hard to tell from pictures alone, but it appears that the ink bled through from front to back. Does the paper feel right to you? You said it's crisp yet its from 2006. Might it not be counterfeit?
A coin man locally offered me 40 for it but wouldn't tell me if its worth 40. He was really pushing up on me for it and called me a lot. So I think its real. I have had it for about 4 yrs now just never thought about it being wiryh something until I happen to mention it to a friend. Not sure if this helps. Thank you for your time.
Well if the "coin man" offered you $40, then you have your answer . It's worth more than $1 and worth keeping. I think it's called a wet ink transfer error.
Most likely real its called an offset error. Search on eBay and you will find a WHOLE bunch of comparisons. Value might be $100 but I would say you would realistically get $80-$90.
It is an error. It's called an Offset Printing Error. If you have anymore concerns of this, you can contact PMG & PCGS who label them as such.
