This thing is in great shape. I have never tried to clean it or anything. I just rinsed off the dirt under the faucet. Found it a few years back. Coulda been part of someones collection and was lost recently or something but whatever the reason it sure is nice.
I still find em in this nice of condition but they usually have more green patina on em. It all depends on what condition they were in when lost. Plus if the soil has not had any chemicals put into it. Michigan soil is really good to the older coins. Most that is. I still find my share of corroded coins.

    Hi Jimmie

Im also a metal hunter,, one of the reasons for my user name, That is a very nice coin for a dug coin,Here in new mexico, good coins like that especially copper, are hard to come by,the soil is very alkaline here in the desert.
I would love to find one as good as that !!!!
