So far everyone I have encountered who likes morgan dollars likes the peace dollars equally as much. I for one love the morgan dollar it is the bulk of my collection but I do not like the peace dollar at all. The design just is not appealing to me. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Do you just like morgans? or just Peace? or both?

I think a lot of people are that way. I for one think the Peace Dollar design is one of the better 20th century designs where as the Morgan is more utilitarian, much like Barber's works. But, I still love collecting Morgans. Between the history associated with them and the challenge of VAM collecting, it's kept me happily busy for over 30 years.

We all love Peace dollars. Face it, you're the only one who doesn't like them ;-)

Peace Dollars were the first large dollar purchases of my youth. I loved them then and I still love 'em now. Just don't collect 'em as much in the present.

Not nuts about peace dollars they just don't have the appeal to me I do like the 1921 peace as it's higher relief and just seems to pop more I think part of the problem with peace dollars is the same as most all coins from the 20s poor quality and consistent bad strikes is same problem with slq walkers and mercs from the 20s I like coins theyvreally nailed it as far as strike. And the peace dollars don't seem to have the beautiful multicolored tonings that I collect in Morgans

I think morgan's are the only US coin I completely ignore when I go to auctions or coin shops. For what ever reason I just dont care to collect them. Peace dollars I like a little bit. I will give them a look over, as I just need a couple to finish my set.

Other then a st gaudens $20 or a real beauty of a walker or slq I ignore all coins that the date doesn't start with a 17 or 18 their just too new I guess and that includes post 1900 Morgan's actually I primarily only collect cc mint morgans. Dollar coins are my favorite denomination but I prefer the early ones and trades

I like both but I prefer the Peace Dollar design. The problem rears it's head when you actually try to assemble a collection. Peace Dollars are very difficult to find with exceptional eye appeal even in the common dates. This makes Morgan Dollars a much easier series to collect. That said, when a Peace Dollar actually ascends to MS66 or MS67 (heaven forbid), they are stunning. I still miss this one:

I like both and collect both. I like Ms. Liberty on each for different reasons. I like the reverse on the Morgan better than the Peace dollar.

Same here. Both are beautiful coins in their own way.

My opinion is that questions of sex appeal have no place in numismatics - except in this one particular debate. Peace dollars for me.
