...which brings us back to 1933 and 1965, right?

Take that Barber POS out of the "Beauty" Era and put it back in the 1890's.

Barber can't hold a candle in the wind against James B. Longacre, Saint-Gaudens, George T. Morgan, Anthony de Francisci (his hottie wife's on the Peace dollar), the Flowing Hair era, etc.

Did ya guess I'm not a Barber fan?

I'd take the 1916 era. It brings my two favorite designs (Mercury, Standing Liberty) onto the scene. However, I can't figure out how to vote.

Well its 2014. Looks like most the crew from this thread is still here.

I like being able to read a post I made 6 years ago and still be able to agree with myself. :D. Good thread to resurrect.

Sorry for the insolent, off the cuff reply, but it just popped into my head when I read the title. Something from my youth.........:)

I don't know. After many years I got the chance to talk with him a year or so ago at the Fun show. Wish we had several hours to talk. The guy really knows coins.
    Doug may know something.

Although I like 1916's, my favorite coins are still those from the Flowing Hair Era.
