I think I'll go ahead and try my luck at coin roll hunting again. I do not think I will spend more than $50 because it takes a long time to sort through everything. What variety of rolls do you recommend me getting? was think a few dimes nickels and pennies.

I am particular about the denominations I search, when and where they come from. Some places are better than others for some denominations. Go with what you want in the moment, live life spontaneously.

I am going to head to the local credit union in about an hour or so. Think I will get mostly penny and nickel. I do not have any luck with dimes or quarters

If you search hundreds of dollars in dimes you will find silver in time. Quarters are a waste of time. I do better by haunting the local convenience stores - the cashiers get them from time to time.

Some kid must have robbed his parents collection. I got two 1909S VDB cents at a Winn Dixie in my change about a yr ago. They both came back graded VG-8.

I once found a 1857 flying eagle in change. Funny thing it was already slabbed MS66. Was too large for cashier's drawer so she let me have it.

It depends on what you mean by your comment.I am retired, so my time is worth what I make it. I search nickel and penny rolls. More nickels, lots of 1950s, some 40s and a few 30s. Sometimes a war nickel (40% silver ). See my other post , I found a magicians nickel last week, also a penny rejected at the CU machine counter, as it had no copper coating ( 1998 ). Looks like a war penny. I have found dimes in rolls, rolled by CU members, not the shotgun type.Though I usually ask for the shotgun rolls, I also ask the tellers if they have anything new, diff. or that I might be interested in seeing.Be friendly with them, they will help, then after time they may offer you a chance to buy their coins, you never know. Good luck and the grace of God are daily sayings, images etc. Travel with the force.

I wanted to fill my Dansco Penny Album. So after you done going through all the coins you cash them in for more rolls.
