That would make sense, and with that on the nickle If somebody asked for a $1.00 for the token by law he would have to honor it or end up with a bigger bill lawyers fees and all! ;)

The Atomic dime reminds of the 1st grade when the teacher told us atomic energy would make electricity so cheap it wouldn't even be metered. Our parents would just pay a flat rate if 50 or 75c a month. Well that didn't exactly work. Unless I count the flat rate of $7 a month, which apparently is for privilege of buying electricity . Then when they shot Alan Shepard into space she said our mothers would be grocery shopping on the moon in 10 years. That didn't even make sense to me. Riding in a rocket, that made sense. Riding in rocket to go buy food?

Why have the Olympics on them I don't know. As they became pointless years before.

It appears to be a nice series by the American coin club!

IMG_6446.jpg IMG_6445.jpg I’ve been collecting guitar picks & signatures from recent concerts. In this post, the only thing coin-related is that I use 2x2 coin holders to organize the guitar pick collection.

Here are two new additions from a concert this last weekend. I also got a Vinyl record metal master signed by Eric Johnson & Ana Popovic (guitarists). Unfortunately, we didn’t get a signature from Buddy Guy (although we did get one of his standard guitar picks).

Guitar picks are superior to coins because they make a better sound when used to pluck a string.

BTW, here is the list of musicians from this weekend’s concert:
    Buddy Guy
    Billy Cox
    Jonny Lang
    Kenny Wayne Shepherd
    Dweezil Zappa
    Eric Johnson
    Ana Popovic
    Doyle Bramhall
    Chris Layton
    Eric Gales
    Bootsy Collins
    Etc.
They all took turns playing the music of Jimi Hendrix for a few hours. It was way cool.

Same here dwhiz. I'm across the river in Jersey. It would be at least a two hour drive for me each way. I am thinking about it though.

I bought this at a local show for the Bear on it. Something about them that just fascinates me. // California Bicentennial 1769-1969, Brass, M/A, MACO, 38mm, 24.4 grms. CAM01303.jpg CAM01304.jpg
