Nobody wanted this seated half

I am not at all dismissing the value of the slab, NGC or not.

Remember, the original question asked was "why no one wanted this LS half" priced at $400 in a six month period. Being as the coin was offered raw, debating the value of a slab does nothing to address the original question. The original photos provided in the OP were needlessly taken at an extreme angle and are clearly unflattering to the coin, yet those taken while in the slab (even if it were cropped out) show that if imaged in a different manner, many of the original concerns expressed about the coin could have been addressed.

you just made my point. if they would rather go out and have a stupid party just because it is the stupid weekend, well, that is the definition of lazy. i have always been willing to do bussiness on any given day, weekends, holidays, ect. i have sold items on thanksgiving, christmas, ect. it does not make any difference to me what day it is. i can't even get a decent pizza on fridays and saturdays, everytime i call and order a pizza on those days, the pizza is always below standard when compared to the weekdays. i think that most people need to stop all that party nonsense and grow up. i have been using a cane to walk for the past couple of months, and i still have tried much harder than the average people would even consider trying.

Because being out of the house, doing activities and socializing with others is active...not lazy. It takes effort to go and do stuff out of the house, it takes NO effort to NOT do something (like stay inside on the computer all weekend).

LOL. This might be the dumbest thing I have read on the forum, hands down. A completely unfounded claim, with no reasoning whatsoever, based completely on the bias of an individual who thinks that people who do activities out of the house on the weekends are somehow "lazy". (Though it was posed on the weekend, so you might be proving your own point, there. )

 

I was going to stay out of this, but non-cents makes 'cents'! Absolutely ridiculous that someone thinks we shouldn't lead lives, socialize, etc. coins776 must have fewer friends than he has thumbs on one hand. If he does, I'd be shocked. This really IS the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on ANY coin forum, except for what that 1868LargeCent character/counterfeit sheriff on CU blathers on about, with his mission to rid ebay of ALL fakes....simply an impossibility. He's another one that stays in all day and night. These two were sinply made for each other. Utterly ridiculous.

You must obviously be unemployed. But seeing as you know nobody here, it's pretty brazen to assume what we do on our off time. I write. I collect coins. I don't go out partying, but if I did, so what. I, as well as most here work hard. If we blow off steam on our days off, what difference does it make, aside from we aren't plodding away through your auctions?
