That's good to know ND...I've been stumped on the ASE Anniversary set as of this morning, so at least I still have a chance on the ASE W.
Thank you ND86 for the update... I will be happy once I get it in my hands and I don't have to worry about buying one somewhere else at a much higher price. I received my Jamestown Anniversary Proof yesterday and it is much nicer in person. Cannot wait for my ASE Unc and JA Unc. Best Regards
thanks Nd. Have already had to update my credit card. Should be interesting to see what the prices will do since they will not be super scarce for a while anyhow
Hey Bamaguy.. the 2006 "W" burnished die ASE is by far the lowest minted uncirculated ASE ever.. they are on average 10 to 15 x fewer than the normal uncirculated date coins! Try buying one anywhere for $20....more like $60-$80. Hope ya get them..I ordered 20 from the mint and received 15..waiting on 5 more....:high5: RickieB
counting the anniversary silver set and what I had ordered should have 10. 100k on the market in one month should be interesting to see how quick people will try to sell them and the price it will bring on the short term. In the long run they will be sweet. ordered 5 for some friends who I ask if they were interested back in dec. It is so tempting to tell them that i did not get them lol. may not yet. I watched the the coin country show for a laughs the other night They had a box of 100 silver eagles 2006w in the orginal ungraded box from the mint. They sold out in like 15 minutes at $99 a pop. gosh those 100 coins were so pretty sitting in that box that the guy said he had just got and opened.
am eagle (w) unc $5.00 gold what about the shipment for am eagle (w) unc $5.00 gold?. when will be the shipment?. currently estimated shipment is feb.17,2007.
I decided to take a look at the Mint's website to see the status of my order for these coins. It shows an expected shipping date of 2/17. I ordered on 12/10 when they were still available (at least the webiste did not say they were sold out). Starting to wonder if they oversold these as they did the 20th anniversary sets. Or were these minted to demand until they had to shut off for 2007 production? Anyone know? Thanks, Dragon
Dragon - I think ND86's comments about shipping 100K more in the next few weeks probably means they have enough stock to fill the orders. The fact that your order moved in and you ordered so late in the process is a good sign. They probably ran out of packaging material for that item.?. He posted this about a week ahead of anyone's dates moving in so he probably has the best information on what's going on.
Still in la la land here but i ordered a few days before they stopped taking orders so i would have to assume that mine would be toward the end. hope to hear something next week. Glad for you guys. Have some people i order a few for at their request. they keep asking me about them. So tempting to tell them I did not get them if i do but a deal is a deal. Heck if i were to seriously think about doing that , then I know that i would never get them. I will still have over 11 that should be enuff for me.
Wish I had the smarts to order more than one...:headbang: :desk: That's ok now I just have to figure out how to get a 2006 ASE set without paying quite so much for them.. Good Luck!!!
Thanks USS656. Most of those are in the Silver anniversary sets. I look back on it now and wished I had ordered 100 . they come in a nice mint box. What can one say. Always wanting more is just human nature. Be proud of what you have.
