I had this one listed for at least 6 months on Ebay for 400.00. No offers. No sale

Whats wrong with this one. I thought 400 was a great price

Most people may shy away from a dipped, circulated Seated half that also looks as though it may have been polished. This is especially true when the asking price is more than one might expect to pay for a certified AU50 example.

Wouldnt all blast white seated halfs be dipped? Its not polished.

I actually didn't think it was polished, but the images are lit in such a manner as to make it appear as though that might be the case. Regardless, $400 for that coin is too much, in my opinion, and it looks like others may have thought so, too.

You're asking AU-58 full red book retail for a coin that looks like a cleaned XF-40 or 45. Should be more like $75-100 for a problem coin with a pretty high mintage, 1.29 million. Hope this doesn't come across as harsh; it's just what I see.

    I might have bit at $175-200 but I wouldn't pay $400 .

It does look cleaned in the pictures.

The pictures of it are iffy, the color worries me, and the $400 price tag is way out there. I wouldn't touch it.

Thanks for your input guys. 75 to 200 bucks seems to cheap to me. It came back from NGC as MS62. ill try 250 see if it sells

I know. The original picture is from when I just started coin photography.

It just goes to show how a nice problem free coin can be made to look less than what it really is... Just by a picture. The inverse is also true where problem coins can be made to look good... Finding how to properly represent a coin via picture is an art in itself.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why didn't you take photos of of coin in the holder with the grade as the auction photo? The first photos make the coin look altered and that is probably what drove people away. Why not have the photo of the coin in the slab?

The first photo is what I used to represent the coin on Ebay when I first started coin photography. It never sold. I then had it graded and have gotten better at photography

Well, put it back out there with this picture and you will get your $400 for it. A MS62 lists for $850 in the professional edition of the Red Book.

Wow! Someone missed out on a deal there.

But yea, the first picture makes the coin appear cleaned. The picture in the slab looks nice, now if it was the same picture with the NGC without being slabbed, you might have had a better chance at the $400. Regardless, you'll probably do much better now that it's graded and you've worked on your photo skills. Nice coin!
