I have wanted one of these for a long, long time. Every time I looked at one it always seemed to be mushy or weak looking. I finally found one that I liked and pulled the trigger. Now I get the chance to have everyone play guess the grade.
Nice. I am by no means a Peace $ expert, I say EF45. After looking at it again, I think the reverse is nicer than obverse and could push it to AU50.
Like Pacecar, I'm not an expert. However, based on what I know and taking a quick look at photograde, was thinking about AU50. It's a very nice coin.
the sad thing is it is a strong strike, look at the tail feathers...however, it is undoubtedly circulated as the feathers in the wing are worn smooth...and miss peace looks like she has acne...i say 50 at best.
Less than 1% of the 1921 Peace Dollars have a sharp strike due to the high relief. Most will show weakness in the center of both obverse and reverse as mine shows. The TPGs do not insist on sharp strike to make the higher grades. Most of the MS63,64,65s usually show frosting.
