Cancel boxes gone on both my gold (12:30pm) and silver (6:30pm) orders from yesterday. These may be on their way sooner than later. The gold order I placed this morning is on hold. TC

After placing my first order for the Silver dollars at around 1PM PST, I placed another order for 1 wee little proof gold piece at 7pm PST just for fun.

Order 1, Silver:
Backordered. Expected to ship on 04/11/2014

Order 2, Gold
Backordered. Expected to ship on 07/02/2014.

 

Better get that fixed before the first puck comes out on 4/7. TC

 

Really, good thing I got my order in yesterday. As for the puck, it's on a subscription. Maybe I'll try a reboot.

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a few years, not since the '11 eagle set came out. It's cool to see some of the same names around still.

Anyway, I started with a 5 minute wait time when I got my orders in and my expected ship date for proof and unc gold coins says 3/29/14. Not sure why they're shipping on Saturdays, maybe it's USPS this time. I paid extra for priority shipping. Can't wait to see these coins in person. A friend saw them at the Atlanta show recently.

I believe the UNC will have much lower mintages than the proof, I see reports of 15,000ish.

I spoke to a woman at the Mint today to verify my order. She said that pretty much anyone who ordered after 8pm will most likely not get a gold coin. In fact, they were nearly sold out by 6pm. We talked about the "household" limits and she agreed that they were way too high, and that a lot of people were upset about that.

 

Here's the latest. Looks like the gold is sold out.

You all have no idea what is going on here!!!! These coins are selling for fantasy money. I sold all that I had for double my investment..... And I still kept a full proof set and unc set!!!!! That is 5 coins (no unc gold) My roommate just ran 4 blocks to another hotel and almost tripled his money on his lot!!!!! He sold two gold that he had a total of $1000 in for $3000!!!! This is only the beginning. It's all about the label.

Do you think these prices of the silver proof and unc dollars will continue when more people have received their orders? I'm looking on eBay and the PF70 and MS70 coins are 4x-6x what the mint is selling them for... I wanted to get one for my collection, but not at these prices.

 

Big tee. These are strictly for the hall of fame logos. That's it. That is what's making this crazy is that people are paying this crazy money just for a label.

Just like the reverse proof buffs, the regular releases will not affect the ones with the label.

Who really gives a crap about the label? The grade, OK I can understand that, even though most can't tell a 69 from a 70. But I just don't buy the whole first day label crap, especially with such a limited mintage, just a marketing scheme~ Only ones making out are the grading companies~
