I've been collecting foreign currency (mainly ABNCo.) for several years. These note are of various sizes. I'd like to somehow catalog them in an easy to view in a holder of some sort. Any suggestions? Thanks
I use melinex sleeves in a Lighthouse (grande size) binder with black interleaves for visual separation. The melinex sleeves are not rigid, but they are super clear and thin, allowing me to fit more in my binder. Some of the thicker sleeves leave indentations on the currency pages.
Lighthouse binders and pages can only be purchased from: www.lighthouse.us I can't recall where I purchased the Melinex sleeves. Try Google.
I put my paper currency in high quality crystal clear mylar sleeves which I get from Denly's of Boston. Then I put them in a money box which is similar to a big shoe box. I should switch to an album but anyway that's what I'm doing now. I have a couple shoe boxes worth at the moment. I also collect stamps and ex libris and those I keep in lighthouse albums and double sided vario binder pages 1s through 6s depending on the size of the stamp or ex libris. These binders and pages I have bought on ebay and they are cheaper than buying through the vendor.
eBay says hi. http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=mit_63&_nkw=grande&_from=R40 I've gotten all of my Grande binders and pages from this seller, they are really great and always accommodating. If there is a Grande sleeve/page you are looking for you don't see, contact them and they can list it for you. They have done that for me for the Grande 3 or 4 slot sleeves. Great seller! Gonna have to get more pages and another binder soon, I have a 4 inch stack of unscanned obsoletes I $#!+ you not...
Great. I just got back from my second day at the Baltimore Whitman show and need to get moving with storage solutions. Hello Google and hello Lighthouse. Looking forward to seeing some of that 4" stack.
