Being a primarily foreign coin dude I am not very strong on grading US coins. Any help is appreciated.

    Notes:
What appears to be damage on the right side of the reverse next to the bottom most star is actually a minor striking error.
The obverse has very dull luster and very light toning, but reverse has pretty good luster and light toning.

Not sure why you think that's a striking error, or even what a striking error might be. But I'd say the coin is AU50, not enough luster to justify higher than that in my opinion.

Well it doesn't look like post mint damage, so what else can it be? It's a small streak where the parts of dentils involved are high profile and those around it are low profile.

    Looks like an AU.

Au-50 looks to have been dipped once and is starting to retone a bit nice coin!

Likely a piece of debris stuck to the die it doesn't look post mint to me either especially the way the dentils on ether side are pushed up a bit

Thank you for all of your input. I guess the general consensus is in the low AU range. I figured MS was doubtful as the coin was loose in a bulk lot, but I am glad that it at least qualifies as an AU.
    Thanks again to all.

    Oh NO!

    I agree with Doug.

By a striking error-- do you possibly mean:
    1) struck thru
    2) planchet error
    3) die error.

Not sure exactly but either planchet or die. Possible some grease filling and a streak in the center where the grease loosened and fell out. Thanks.
