well, i missed this thread, so i went back and revisited the coins and made a little slide show of some of the coins. the slide show just covers the "BC" period, maybe i'll do more later. i picked a few coins from each century, and tried to get one coin from each member than posted. if someone posted many coins i tried to go for some culteral diversity and picked my personal faves. also wanted to keep the vid under 6 minutes so people don't fall asleep. if anyone doesn't want their coin pictures shown like this, let me know and i'll pull the vid, it's currently unlisted on youtube. hope you like it!
That was AWESOME Chris...were did you get that music...i love that table, well done young Man, well done...
glad u dug it! the music is from a group called Synaulia, give them a "google". they have a couple of albums, the song on the vid is from "Music From Ancient Rome Vol. 2", the piece is called "Synphoniaci".
great video. I do not collect ancients but your video makes me want to get ancients. I know I want some Greek ancients coins with bee's on them in the far future.
Bravo chrsmat, bravo!! => wow, that was fantastic ..... thanks for the pick me up, my great coin-friend ... that was an awesome effort ... Oh and I agree, that was the perfect theme-tune for your EPIC production!! => ummm, it definitely needed a few more of "my" coins, but other than that, it was a great show!! (I hope to see many more of your clever clips!!)
Very nice, but I'm going to be contrary. I don't like the music. Too "dreary". Try some Enya. It may be Celtic, but it excites the senses (example: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...&mid=BCF5CBC014D5BD68EDD6BCF5CBC014D5BD68EDD6). Thanks for all the effort you put into it! Two thumbs up.
=> Bing, here is a poor visual for ya => my ex used to play Enya when it was time to get busy!! (my current/hopefully-final wife prefers considerably rougher-tunes!!) Oh, but Bing => I love your tune (the video is very cool as well ) ... ummm, I probably shouldn't tell anybody that it got me slightly fired-up once again, eh? ( *yikes*!!) ... anyway ... chrsmat => I know that you're a Led-Zep and Floyd fan, so you're probably a Stones fan and/or a fan of countless awesome rock-bands ......... so again, I think your current track is spot-on, but I'm sure you also agree that your fantastic ancient-production would also be fricken outstanding to a full-out rock tune as well!! (Sympathy for the Devil, perhaps?) ... man, I wish I had your computer/video skills, for I'd try making another version of our EPIC thread (coins of the A.D. Centuries), but I'd pick a couple of ACDC tunes, or as I suggested perhaps Sympathy for the Devil? Hey ... I'm just sayin'
Wow, or perhaps this ol' gem? ... Thanks chrsmat => now I'm merely tilting-the-vino and listening to classic old tunes (man, I love collecting coins!!)
thanks! maybe for the modern coins i'll do a little rock? physical graffiti is on my favorite albums of all time list!
I can't get that music out of my head (in a good way). It's foreign-sounding enough to be intriguing but not so much as to be uncomfortable. The discordant notes and 'push' at the end of the the phrase, on top of the more Western-sounding lyre-plucked chords is haunting!
Another well done vid, but I still don't like the music. Oh well. It's probably just me. Thanks for doing all the work to put this together.
Shabammm!! => another winner!! I love those chrsmat productions ... I can hardly wait for your next project => awesome coins and magnificent effort (thanks brother)
That slideshow ROCKS! Great job Chris. I love the music selection, the way you interspersed ancient themed images with the coins, the overall presentation. Five Stars!
