    Hi Guys,
I got this medal at a wittman coin show in philly. I really didn't think much of it because I got it for free but im looking at it and it seems pretty heavy so I was wondering if you guys had any info on this (but in my defense someone forgot them so he gave it to me for free so he didn't know anything about it). Im just thinking what if this is gold?!? Probably not but you know I would like info on it anyway
    Thanks
    Jason

In this Bicentenial Medal series there was a 1 1/2 inch gold plated bronze, 45,163 issued. It appears to be the same as their 1 1/2 inch bronze issue but that some of them were then gold plated. That may be what you have. And if so, nice pickup!

Thanks for the info... Is there a weight difference between the gold and bronze? Also how much gold was in the ones with gold?

I'm pretty sure they came in silver too. I've got one around here somewhere.........

Ignore my previous post about a difference in sizes what I edited out. the bronze and gold plated bronze are both 1 1/2 inches. It was wrong information. And I have not been able to find the weights listed. But if I do I will post them.
