    Sorry.....

    To me.....it looks like there is a smudge of a D. Bad picture....
    While I'm at it....
    Is there a 1983 D DDR Penny?

    coppercoin shows 14 varieties of doubling on 1983 D cents.

    The discoloring or smudge on the 2007 looks like PMD (Post Mint Damage) to me. The newer cents being a layered planchet with the zinc alloy core seem very much more sensitive to chemical and environmental than copper coins. They also bubble and show a lot of "ghosting" imaging which looks like doubling. They also seem to have a lot of instances with machine doubling. They are truly crappy coins in general. IMHO

    Thanks..I figured as much. Have seen a lot of marks that seem to resemble D's so had to ask. Spose a rot hole starting would look close to D.
    I Do agree crap quality. Must be part of how they are "stimulating" Make our money out of crap and easily deteriorate, so its worth-less and WORTHLESS.
