I will be buying. Have to keep the modern silver and clad commemorative collection 100% complete in proof and uncirculated. Reason enough!

I just thought a real baseball fan would prefer something aged, signed and associated with the history of the sport.

Will buy the whole set since I am a big baseball fan. Don't care about long term value.

Ha, will they make an Airtite for that! :p

Not a baseball fan at all here, so will pass.

I think they're kinda cool...will probably pick up a silver or two.

Baseball fan coin collector here. I'm in for one of each of the uncirculated versions. Gold too, which I usually pass on.
It's the only way I'll ever see a gold glove.:)

This will be the first gold piece I've ever purchased from the Mint! Hope the price is fair. I don't know about potential value increases either, but it's going to be really interesting looking anyway!

I'm going to go for the Silver versions. Interesting design, especially the curve. Might not have enough cash to "go for the gold".

    Those are some limits:

    • 50,000 $5 gold coins
    • 400,000 $1 silver coins
    • 750,000 half-dollar clad coins
I wonder how many will actually sell?

As for the price of the gold, I would not expect anything below $900 each.

This is a quarter oz. It should be under $500.

I don't think they'll work very well as ash trays Stewart. The gold will have the highest dome relative to it's size at .085 in. The silver will be at .15 in. And the half at .058 will be noticeable but won't hold very many ashes.o_O

Anyone think the silver coins will sell out? Maybe even quickly? I plan on getting one of the silver versions. Probably not right away though. I'll try to wait and bundle it together with another purchase I want to make that hasn't yet been released.

I'll be buying. I don't follow baseball, but I have great memories of the sport. I'll get the proof silver, uncirculated silver, proof clad, and uncirculated clad. Hopefully I'll be able to find the gold at a good price in the future, but I don't have the cash now.

Saving my cash if they make the bad decision to make a Gold Kennedy later this year, so I'm just in for the silver and clad varieties....
