At my LCS, they're selling a 1990 Eisenhower Centennial Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar for $20. Good price? Would you buy at this price?

    thanks for the help

I'm thinking that's about the silver value.

would you buy it? I'm seeing ebay asking prices of $40-50

Folks on ebay can ask whatever they want. A better indication of value is to look at completed sales and take out the cost of shipping as well as ebay and PayPal fees.

What condition is it in? Unless it's in pretty bad condition $20 is a fair price in my opinion.

It's mint for sure. It's boxed and in a plastic protective case.

Do you mean in OGP (Original Government Packaging)? If so then I'd say $20 is a good price.

    Maybe.

If you collect something like that, $20 is not bad, they sell for $25-$30 on ebay.

If you don't collect and buy just for melt or resale, it's not such a good deal.

Being original in OGP, I'd buy it in a heartbeat since it's a good price compared to eBay or others. But then again, I collect Ikes and it's appealing.

If the coin doesn't appeal to you in any way other than melt, which is about $17, then no huge reason to buy it. If just for silver content, I'd spend the extra couple bucks and get an ASE instead.

I decided to get it 20 dollars out the door. It's OGP, certificate of authenticity and all. It looks exactly like the picture above, but with the green box and green velvet case. I thought it was a great deal at that price.
The guy said they original had it marked for 35, but put it on sale for 20

Yes, Green box OGP, COA, etc is correct. I think you got a good deal.

He probably dropped the price because he had it for quite a while and wanted to get it out of his case to make room for something else. The end result is you got a good deal and he made it go away.

He also has two 1988 Olympics Silver Dollars and one 1987 U.S. Constitution Silver dollar for $20 each. Would those be just as good of a deal?

Wait until next year. They're redoing the 1987 Constitution commemorative dollar to read, "We the Corporations".
