My guess is aPo is to high, more like PP and I agree you paid toooooooooooo much, however, if you are collecting worse possibe then it is way up there. Enjoy the hobby:eek:

If it wouldn't get bodybagged by a grading company, it would be interesting to send it in to get the "lowest graded" Sesquicentennial Half Dollar recorded. I would have to call it a Poor 1.....barely identifiable by its type.

I personally think it is awesome!! I would bet that it was someone's pocketpiece for a long time. I would have definitely paid 4.50 for it.......at least its silver!

Overpaid? He should have paid below silver value?
    P-1, or P-0.
Interestig as the lowest grade known.

It is munted as a coin.

Charlie, this is munted (ruined beyond belief) as a coin. There's two things that this coin is fit for - traded as bullion,or put in the melting pot!

    Aidan.

COOL! I'd guess PO-1. Nice pocket piece! Thanks for sharing...Mike

p.s. I think some are SEVERLY UNDERVALUING this coin. There is a signficant market for the "lowest graded" in virtually every series. If this coin were to be slabbed, I'll bet most would be very surprised at the price it would fetch in auction.

Yep Leadfoot, A lot of people don't realize the collector demand for coins that grade PO-1. Eisenhower dollars graded by PCGS at PO-1 sell for as much as $1000.00
