In order from top left row. Titus, Antonia, Lucius Verus In order from bottom left row. Lucilla, Clodius Albinus Here is a chance to get a couple at decent prices compared to what I saw on the market. The bottom right coin is Clodius Albinus and I'm wondering if that one could be similar to other Septimius Severus coins? Dealer says it is Clodius for sure. Despite the low grade, I like them.
Great group of coins, low grade or not. There are some there that are hard to get regardless of the grade. I, too, think that last is a Clodius Albinus.
Before I can accept the Clodius Albinus ID, I need to rule out any trace of a laurel wreath (not just worn off) and see one letter of CAES rather than AVG. Of these the last to go should be the ties at the back of the head. If they are there, it is Septimius. Below is a Septimius of the same period.
Nice lookin' bulk-buy, Gil-galad ... wow, since you've been back you've really been buyin'-up quite a few coins, eh? (it's nice to see you back in the fold, brother!!)
Thanks, coin bro. I'll be slowing down again soon because getting these coins is a lot for my budget. Just stick around here, keep saying. "Hey, that's an awesome cool coin." over again and again. lol
That's what I wanted to know right there. I wonder if a good magnifying glass or microscope could see anything that looks worn off to a naked eye?
