  1. I was wondering if their are any people on here that collect/trade masonic tokens, chapter pennies, or others?

I only have one, the one I was given when I was raised as a Master Mason. Would be neat to have a collection I think, show us what you've got?

I don't collect them really but do have a few chapter pennies, medals, and older counterstamped coins I picked up over the years. I also have about a dozen counterstamped (capped) Lincoln Cents with various Masonic symbols on them. I bought these as a lot from a Florida collector a few years ago. If I can find some pics of them I'll post them.

I have a dozen or more pennies & dimes that were impressed, like yours, with either Mason or Shriners insignias. They were given to me by an acquaintance who made them (at home!) while he was employed at the Philadelphia Mint.

I used to have photos posted here, but they were all lost after the last CT revision.

I was able to find two of my photos from another forum, but I'm not able to post them under the current CT format. I host my own photos using ACDsee rather than something like Photobucket. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Can someone tell me anything about my 53 cent? I received it from a co worker. I never saw chapter pennies before, they look cool.

I sold one on eBay once for $15. It was a wheat penny, just like yours and punched in the same spot.

We can't discuss it because it's a secret, lol

  14. Does anyone know of any people that collect Chapter pennies on coin talk? Or possibly, a website dedicated to those who do?

My collecting interests have been leaning more towards civil war tokens, canadian tokens other interesting pieces. I couldnt find a single image of this masonic penny before purchasing it. This is the only case were not finding information on a piece is a plus. Searched the online PDFs on pennies and can not even find a drawing of this design.

I have a few Masonic Chapter Pennies from lodges in the area where I live, near San Francisco.

These two are the most interesting of them:

Masonic Penny Berkeley California RAM Chapter 92
    Specs: Bronze, 31mm, 9.15gm
Obverse: BERKELEY CHAPTER No. 92 R.A.M. / CALIFORNIA / University of California Greek Theatre
Reverse: CHARTERED APRIL 18, 1906 / ONE PENNY / HTWSSTKS emblem
The charter date of April 18, 1906 is significant.
    This chapter has disbanded.

Masonic Penny San Francisco California RAM California Chapter 5
    Specs: Bronze, 31mm, 12.46gm
Obverse: California state seal in wreath / CALIFORNIA CHAPTER NO. 5 R.A.M. / ONE PENNY / EUREKA
    Reverse: HTWSSTKS emblem / A.I. 2385 / CHART-ERED APR. 30, 1855 / SAN FRANCISCO

The "HTWSSTKS" emblem means "Hiram of Tyre, Widow's Son, Sent To King Solomon".
The "A.I. 2385" is a Masonic date corresponding to 1855.
    This chapter has disbanded.
