to CoinTalk Stephen. Unless your coin has the name of another country on it, its from Great Britain, with the obverse legend "VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND EMP" which translates from the Latin as "VICTORIA BY THE GRACE OF GOD QUEEN OF BRITAIN DEFENDER OF THE FAITH EMPRESS OF INDIA". 8,595,000 were minted in bronze, with a reverse image of Britannia, the symbol of the nation, along with the date and denomination. The 2001 3rd Ed. Standard Catalog of World Coins 19th Century values it at $1 in Fine condition, $3 in Very Fine, , $7.50 in Extra Fine, and $20 Uncirculated. The description "great condition" really doesn't help us pin down its grade, so please post clear photos of both sides if you can.
