Why are the first Zombuck rounds selling for $55+?

I haven't been buying as much bullion lately but doing an ebay search to find some descent silver deals I ran across a Zombuck coin sell for close to $55. As a big zombie fan I bought several rolls when they released for I want to say $21 per. My first question is why do you think they have gone up so far in value in the last 3 months? Second, if you were me and you had say 90 of them would sell most of them? I think I probably want to keep a roll of the every coin in the series, but other then that I only really bought them as bullion so.

    Thanks for the opinions

The zombie fad is still cranking up.
    My opinion is sell them.

"If I were you..." I would bail out -- on all 90 coins -- and buy junk silver with the proceeds. Someday, down the line, you will have to convince a skeptical buyer that your Zombucks are really .999 silver. No convincing needed on junk silver.

Because of the great marketing idea to copy the most popular bullion coin in the world, the silver eagle. Also, low mintage and cool design.

Sell them. You stumbled on to something that became popular, you need to strike while the iron is hot. Almost certainly the fad will pass as folks realize it is just generic silver. Don't turn a winning hand into a loser.

I gotta agree, who knows if this is the peak, but you could sell all of the Zombucks and get double the amount of silver at the current prices. That would seem like the smart way to go rather than banking on continued demand for these.

I agree that selling now would be a good idea. You may want to keep a handful around just in case. You'd be "playing with the houses money" so if prices went south you'd still be far ahead.

  10. I would sell them before this season of Walking Dead ends in May.

I just ordered 100 airtites off eBay. This looks like it maybe a true no brainer thanks guys. I'm gonna probably keep 5 for sets but you guys are right I can't see the collectible market for these getting much higher. I guess I should also think about all those copper ones I bought because they were .99 I believe. Thanks again guys
