Common coin and you paid about the going rate for them. Not a fan of the scratches though.

I think it is a poor example of a common coin. certainly not a rare coin as described by the seller, unless I have missed something. I picked up two beaytiful examples of this coin for just under £50 each at Christmas. Both are for my fledgling collection and I adore them. I will get pics up tomorrow.

It's a decent coin, but what may surprise you is just how small it is. 13mm and 2.2g is an itsy-bitsy bit of silver. If you're new to ancients, you may be shocked at how small silvers get.

These little coins are very interesting, especially in good condition. I'm always amazed at the detail the Ancients were able to get unto such small flans. I believe, however, that the price of your coin with shipping is on the high side considering the condition. Not by much, but some. I own three of these. All cost me around the same price, but IMHO they are in slightly better condition. For example:
    Thrace Cherronesos 2.jpg
This one cost almost exactly what you paid. And mine is not great quality either, but I'm a budget and deal shopper. I've seen some others posted here on this forum that make mine look like junk. Someone told me that on these coins from Cherronesos you should look for a complete lion on the obverse. Also, there are many devices used on the reverse which can make these fun to shop for and collect. Things such as lizards, helmets, and the like. My advice is to shop around and be patient when you see a coin you would like to add to your collection. But patience is the key.
