What is the grade of this coin, and what do you think it's worth? I paid $102 for it.
I'm already sending some coins to PCGS. Should I send this to PCGS too?
    Thanks! IMG_1745.jpg IMG_1747.jpg IMG_1748.jpg IMG_1746.jpg IMG_1749.jpg IMG_1750.jpg IMG_1752.jpg IMG_1753.jpg IMG_1751.jpg

What do you think caused all the hairlines? Do you think it was cleaned?

It looks to me as if someone removed a spot on the left side of the obverse.
I feel it would get a details holder.

I see some high point wear and I also think the coin was cleaned. My grade is AU Details, Cleaned.

And that is why you shouldn't buy raw coins on eBay! Lol

Thanks. I probably won't submit this piece to a TPG. I think I'll just keep it for a few years or list it as AU cleaned on eBay. I think I've taken a pretty big loss on this one.

Thanks. Do you think $102 is a fair price for it? That's what I paid.

Yeah. I think you are fine. The coin still has enough meat to make it attractive at that price range.

It would be a nice coin for a Dansco type set.

You need to be more savvy on the subject before buying raw coins like that so that you don't take a loss.;)

Luckily no loss on this one.

Lol I bought this one a while ago, when I just started collecting. Currently, I mainly buy slabbed coins. I've had bad luck with buying Barber Quarters from eBay. This is the second one to be cleaned, and the other cleaned one I paid $300 for.

Too bad I live in Canada and it costs a fortune to have any albums shipped here :( I love Dansco albums, but I've never owned one due to the high cost of shipping.

The scratches are distracting but it's still cool. They're just fussy over there.

AU details cleaned. Don't submit it, as it won't grade.

Yeah, I think I'll just keep for now. It's a nice coin, too bad there are so many hairlines on the obverse.

Looks like an AU details coin to me.
