Who is going to this show ? ( I might ) Also I have a question for you fellow paper money collectors.
What type of payments are accepted at these large shows ? Do I need to bring a lot of cash or maybe bring $300 cash and have a credit card backup ?

I know that at the smaller shows it is cash only ~ thanks for any info.

    I will be there Saturday.

All dealers will take cash. Most US dealers will take checks. Some dealers can take credit cards.

That's kind of what I am asking is if they will take CC's. I'm looking for 1899 $2 and 1899 $5 in mid grades, that's a lot of cash to bring.

I see that Lyn Knight is hosting the online auction, a lot of ungraded notes.

I'll be there Friday. I visited all the dealers that have websites and looked for the notes I want. Gives me a heads up on their prices and sometimes a pic of the note. I hope they bring the ones I want.

Were you able to find a list of dealers with websites, or did you Google each one one the list?

Johnny, some websites I had in my favorites, the rest I Googled. Some of the names had no website, were foreign currency, etc.

I did the same thing this mourning, that is looked up many of the dealers on the list. It took some time but I found a few more dealers with some nice notes, you can find a list of dealers at the CPMX webpage.

I don't know about new $100's, but the Mel Wilmore Collection of Fancy Serial Numbers being auctioned is said to be 1 of the 4 most exstensive collections offered.
Wish I had some big money to spend.

I know that these fancy serial numbered notes are really cool, but is a 1953 $2 bill in a 64 grade worth big money ? I know that I am going to get flack for this comment but the serial number adds some value but just how much is the question. :)

A 1953 $2 A11111111A brought $28,000 today on Lyn Knights auction. Astounding. I wouldn't have paid more than $1000 if I had that money and actually cared for fancy serials.

It's a fast growing market and cmcart is cashing in, smartly. But the real money is in desirable ones like single digits, solids and ladders.

A lot of new currency collectors in the market getting into the hype, with more money than brains. Heritage Auctions have some very cool serial numbered notes from time to time, for $250 and less you can get a neat numbered note.
I checked there Auction Archives and the fancy serial numbered notes there have sold for reasonable prices, but then again many of the buyer's at Heritage are educated in buying currency. :)

 ~ $28,000 for a 1953 $2 :D Serious hangover this mourning ! I agree with funkee that very low serial numbered notes should get big money. I am disappointed in the auction though I can't see the back of the notes unless I am missing something.

With Lyn Knight, some images don't have backs. But if you click on the larger image link, it will give you the back image if it has one.
