Today's 2 coin shop purchases: Standing Liberty 25c.

I never buy these, but while at the shop I did a quick eBay completed auctions search and thought I was doing pretty good on them. I paid $775 for the pair, so maybe I did ok?

Those are beautiful. I would definitely pay far more than $775 for the pair any day. I think you did very well.

 

There's a good possibility that both of these would get upgraded to MS-63 if resubmitted. I believe that both would get at least a green and possibly a gold sticker from CAC. Very nice pair of quarters.

 

I've been buying up SLQs lately too. Such a beautiful design and coin.

I think they look awful in circulated condition. Something about the wear is just EXTREMELY unattractive to me. But in BU, they are sweet for sure.
