Agreed, I got it as is for $13-$14 plus shipping to Canada. Here is a lesser grade that went for $21... http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.asp?auction=3308&lot=1039
Sometimes low graded certified coins sell for much more than their uncertified counterparts. I sold a PCGS VG10 1909 VDB for $40 or $50 once to a guy building a grading set! I also recently sold a PCGS PO-01 1853 Seated Quarter for $200, when an uncertified example that worn is usually less than $20!
To me. It looks as if it came out of an old collection. One, who coated it with varnish, to keep the surface clean. 40-45 That it was cleaned later, and that is why, the wheat tassels, and seeds, are still mostly black.
