Is this what I think it is? If so, it will be my first true error coin find.

*Sorry for the image quality but I hope the distinction between the actual earlobe and the DD earlobe is visible. The categorization of DDO #1 comes from the book 'Strike It Rich With Pocket Change'. I don't know if it is classified elsewhere i.e. Cherrypickers or Wexler.

    Thanks,

    Chris

The photo is not very clear and the glare makes it hard to tell what it is.

As a rule, most of the grading services only acknowledge varieties from the major sources like the CPG.

By the way, there is a difference between a variety (like a DDO or DDR) and an error (like an O/C strike or missing a clad layer.) Most often, an error is a one-of-a-kind coin, but a variety may produce dozens, hundreds or even thousands of specimens.

I was wondering if there was a resource such as this. I'm going use it to determine which variety I have. Once I determine which, I'll post up which and try to add a better image of it. Thanks for the link.

There are a ton of photos of different denominations on there. I use it a bunch.
