I think so. I've seen naturally toned Barber dimes with virtually the same colors. The $100 price is a little high though... Ben
scotty: Sorry to disagree with Ben,but it looks good to me, and the piece trends for $100 in Au-50, $150 in AU-55, $200 in MS-60. The piece looks like it may unc, and seems like a fair price. Please PM the lot # to me & I'll look closer.
I think the toning probably looks original, but are there spots of wear on Liberty's breasts....the picture looks like that to me. I would then say its a nice looking AU piece.
Question on the toning: How would you tell if you had the coin in hand if it was artificial? Does natural toning enhance or detract from the cartwheel effect of mint luster? Just trying to get a handle on some of this. Thanks
