How much can I get for Indian Head Cents?

    I have a bunch of indian head cents between 1880 and 1906 and one 1879 (no key dates, no varieties, average circulated condition - nothing better than say F12) that I would like to trade. If I were to go into a local coin shop how much should I expect to get in trade (store credit)? 50 cents a piece for all of them? $4 for the 1879?

    I would guess you are pretty accurate. Most low grade, common date IHCs will have retail of about a buck a piece.

    I got 50 cents a piece. Picked up a few IHC upgrades and a few IHC hole fillers along with a few Buffalo Nickels. Coins I didn't want for coins I did, hassle free!

    $1.00 each for common dates maybe a tad more on auction sites less than $1.00 at your local coin shop.
