I recently acquired this extreme rarity in Canadian numismatics, and thought I'd share some pictures with my fellow coin addicts. I did some research on this clock/coin and it was given to approximately 200 mint employees in Winnepeg. I believe there were only 200 or so coins minted making it the rarest 50 Cent Canadian piece ever minted. I also believe only 25 or so of these coins were distributed actually inside the souvenir clocks. As far as I can tell, these are the only pictures posted online. Enjoy.
To much jealousy. I think it is really neat but don't really have much drive to own something like it. Also going to be slightly nitpicky since I am from Winnipeg. It is two i's and one e!
I hear ya. I ended up selling it for a friend (it was never mine). Sorry about my spelling. I think its the first time I've ever written/typed that word.
Is it Mosquito season currently? Or are you on one of the few weeks that isn't either Mosquito season or Winter?
Oh yeah we are right in the heart of mosquito season. The West Nile carrying mosquitos just showed up this past week. If you are ever wondering about the 4 seasons in Winnipeg here they are: Almost Winter Winter Still Winter Construction
I have one of these clocks, with the 2000p 50cent... I was on the project that oversaw the plating facility construction. Can anyone give me an idea what this is worth by chance???

They sell for no less than $7,000 USD. Let me know if you'd like help selling it. I have a legitimate consignment business here in the US, but I sell items to buyers around the world. -RMiller
The pics - they're too big, all over 1MB, some over 2. They take forever to load and I just give up waiting. It happens on this forum a lot - pics are too big, won't load, OP wonders why so few comments. I'd like to see them but I don't have all day. Maybe resize them to around 300K each.
Sorry, I can't seem to find the original images on my computer. They are worth the wait though. Maybe start the downloads before going to bed?
