I am probably going to send my 5 2006-W ASE that I got from littleton, (Search threads for littleton) to ANACS for grading. I have a silly question, On the form they say to put all coins in flips. Does this mean I have to break open the mint capsule? Sorry for being so ignorant about slabbing after collecting for over 40 years.
With NGC they accept them in the airtites like you got them from the mint. I just called ANACS. They said keep them in the airtites. If you happen to have flips put the encased coin in the airtite. Makes it easier for shipping. Let me know how you liked ANACS service.
search this forum for littleton, a couple weeks ago, several members here got unc 2006-W eagles for 28.50 each. They are going 50-80 bucks on ebay, and should appreciate even more. MS70s are fetching 330 to $350.
It used to be that when sending coins to ANACS if you left the coins in the mint holders you had to pay them $1 extra per coin.....you might want to call back and make sure...because if you send them coins and not enough $$ they hold the coins untill your $$$ gets there. Speedy
I called them yesterday, and they are sending a submission kit. They also said I could send the 2006-Ws in the capsules. That is only logical, since I am hoping for some 70s and just putting them in flips could cause a microscopic abrasion, which in my opinion would lower the grade.
