Has anyone else come across this?

I got one roll of each (P and D) Half Dollars from the mint. While checking them out, I found 3 from the Denver roll that have this thing near the right tip of the "Y" near the rim. All 3 have it in the same spot.

Anyone else come across this and/or know what it is?

Maybe the die was handled by a Mint employee nicknamed "Butterfingers".

I have not received the 2014 Kennedys just yet, so no, I haven't come across it. I'll certainly look for it though.

Looks like a small strike threw something.

doesnt a strike through make a depression into the surface? The surface of my 3 coins are flush and this anomaly it elevated off the surface.

I will let you know if I find any "D" halfs like yours.
