I asked the teller today at the bank for a roll of quarters. I ended up getting some National Park quarters... 2012-P Hawaii Volcanos 2012-P Alaska Denali 2012-D New Mexico Chaco Culture 2013-P Ohio Perry's Victory (already had a couple so now I have a couple extra) 2014-P Tennessee Great Smokey Mountains (already had one so now have one extra) Here is a photo update: As you can see, I still have a long way to go.
Did you find all those in circulation? If so, did you find the earlier dates when they first came out? I find very few AtB’s and those few I find are the newer higher mintage ones, nothing from 2010 or 2011.
Yes, they are all from circulation except Smoky Mountains-D. I only started collecting them a couple months ago, and never paid any attention to them when they first came out (truly, I didn't even know they were doing another series after the state quarters until about a year ago, as I had gotten away from coin collecting for quite some time). As a bank teller, though, I see them all the time, typically 5 or 6 (at least) in a roll's worth of quarters. More 2013's than anything else right now. Just now starting to see Rushmores and a couple Smoky's come through.
Great Basin (D) in change from a gas station today. This one's been eluding me in circulation ever since it came out. Plenty of P's, but not a single D until today!
Very nice! I haven't made much progress in the last week or so. I keep getting the same ones! I will keep on looking though.
Got a BU Mount Rushmore today. Looks as if it came straight out of the mint. Even though the current obverse design is not new (since 1999), it still looks very nice when in BU condition. I also the like the clean look of the edge when uncirculated - even though the clad is not as nice as silver.
Will post tomorrow with pics... though I am putting mine in 2x2 and archival pages. All from circ except the 'S' mint uncircs, I did buy those... Just missing a few, mostly D mint. I have at least one of every park.
Here are the pages from my ATB binder...of course you can see the coins in the pages underneath too if there is an empty space in the top page, so look carefully...
Made a nice advance in my quest to fill my folder. I traded with another forum member which filled 7 slots! A few days after receiving the exchange I got a 2011-P Vicksburg in my change. By far the most progress I have had within a week. About 23 different quarter designs have currently been released out of the ATB program. That's 46 when counting P and D. I am currently at 20 out of 46.
