1985 bronze error penny with no mint mark

    i have a 1985 bronze error penny with no mint mark, and i was wondering is it worth anything. i cant seem to find anything on it ?

    Picture? Sounds like you have a Philadelphia minted cent.

    I'm not sure that's the "error" the OP is talking about...the more I read the thread I think the "error" is a lack of mint mark.

    To the OP, Lincoln Cents minted in Philadelphia have no mint mark. Also, from 1974-1986 the West Point mint also minted cents with no mint marks...so they are indistinguishable from Philadelphia minted cents.

    I have a 1985 penny that has a destorted spot where the mint mark should be. ???

    Might be a plating blister or a die chip, can't really say without pictures.
