I snagged this coin off EBay for 99 cents. Not really anything special, but it had no bids on it with 5 mins left so i said what the hell as I needed a 35-P for my album.

Anyway, as you can tell from the pics, there are spots on the obverse and 1 tiny spot on the reverse. The spots are slightly darker when viewed in natural light. The coin came in a small flip. No idea if this is PVC damage or not.

    What do you think??

After looking up close with a magnifying glass, i'm thinking it's a cleaned coin as well?? You'll notice it's not hazed up around the "IN God We Trust" motto. Oh well, it was only about $2.50/shipped

possibly it was dipped and not rinsed well.
    Not PVC, tho.

Would a redip and rinse clear it up??

Can't say for sure, but my guess would be it has already been dipped and those spots are what the dip did not get off the coin. I don't think it's residue, but could be wrong.

Anyway, I would not dip it again.

GDJMSP is right, any re-dip would make the coin very artifical in appearance.
but, it was only 99 cents.
