    Howdy peeps, :)

This is one you don't see too often:

Obv head right, TVRCVPELLERIVS above, signed I K (John Kirk), Rev female figure (Britannia) seated at right facing rising sun at left, HISPANNIOLA above (Rulau 90; Byrne 1156-7). One of the British series of Imitation Regals. Turcu Pellerius was the title of the commander of the mercenaries of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.

The date this was minted is disputed, either 1793-1795 or 1809-1814.

    Ribbit :)

    I have no clue! :goofer:

In the past year, I've only seen 2 on Ebay and I was out sniped on the first one and got the 2nd one, so I don't think they are too common. I have a couple of friends that are into evasives so I'll ask them. ;) I like older coppers and although I don't collect evasives, I have a few and I got them because I liked them and/or the price was right. :D

    Ribbit :)
