Nice, now how do we get them from the bank?

 

I asked my bank on Saturday about the new coins. They had no clue. They asked me to come back and check after the first of Feb and they would check on them. I guess I may need to go to another bank!

The coins will not be released until Feb 15, 2007

 

They actually look 1,000% better than I thought they would.

 

Why oh why didn't they make them silver? What a waste of money

 

I think that coin looks better than the press images as well. Looks like Sacagawea will have some company now.

 

They did not make them silver (or clad) because when Congress passed the legislation, they were concerned with making the existing Sacagawea dollar a circulating coin, not in providing a good looking coin.

I do believe the mint has asked for permission to make a silver version of the dollar. While I know that just adds one more type of coin to collect, I hope they are able to do so.

 

If they add the silver I will just get those, so I hope they do.

ugly ugly ugly. man what were they thinking. its better than the images but tis still ugly i think the first spouse coins will be better and the current 1$ is much better lookining IMO
