Goofy listing in the current Krause guide

    This particular catalog entry seems a bit off. I don't know how many kites ever have stuff pouring out of them. I presume the scene is actually supposed to be depicting a kid whacking a piñata. But everything else in the guide is accurate, right? On the other hand, how does a mistake like this with respect to a 20+ year old coin remain uncorrected?

    You are correct. That coin in the picture is a pinata not a kite. As for the mistake, well, they happen when people who know nothing about the coins they are writing about write the descriptions. As for why it has not been corrected, maybe nobody told them it needed to be.

    As for why your post was edited - because it is copyrighted material.

    My apologies. It was my belief that my use of the material was clearly within the fair use exception guidelines, but I understand how from the forum's standpoint, a strict no reproduction policy makes the best sense. For those who my want to see the entry referenced, it is KM#539.
