Can anyone identify this coin for me?

    I know pretty much nothing about foreign coins before the late 1800s and I am assuming this is a bit older than that. Can anyone help with an identification of it?

    Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) 1/4 real coin, these are fairly scarce.

    Yup, KM 2. Good eye. I saw SD and, though I knew it was completely unrelated, couldn't get past the SUD issues of Oaxaca.

    It isn't something I will likely keep. I know it has quite a bit of corrosion...is it worth anything to collectors of that type/era of coin? Any guesses on value?
