anyone know or have information on the 1996 dime? read somewhere that the 9 and the 6 were reversed --- 1996 date --- on the dime. it was listed as an error coin and wished I would have copied that writing on that particular coin. any info would be welcomed. thanks don't think I am losing it, but if the coin is wrong could it possibly be a 1996 penny or a 1996 nickel???

Well, if he had pictures he wouldn't be asking for info on whether it exists or not.

Never heard of such a thing myself.

Well if you reversed the 9 and the 6 you would have a 1969 dime. :)

And since ALL of the dies come from the same master design/master hub,if one die had an error in the date ALL of the coins would have the same error.

I remember reading the 9 and the 6 were reversed, that there is a little bit more of a swing on the 9 so being reversed the 6 would not have that swing. Positive it said it was the 1996 dime. sorry I did not print that writing .
