1909 VDB Question

    These two 1909's have about the same detail but one is sort of a matte finish, is it possible to find a Matte Proof in circulated coins? 140224154533427668582.jpg 140224154447427622156.jpg

    The rims don't look squared to me.

    It's possible...but highly unlikely. Neither of these coins appear to have the characteristics of a proof. However, the coin on the left appears to be a higher grade.

    Thanks so Much everyone for your insight. So just regular old 1909 VDB's so on to Ebay they go. I really appreciate everyone's help.

    I guess it would be possible to find one, I is also possible to win lots of lotteries, but I have not won one yet.

    The odds of finding an 09VDB MP in circulation (or even in a dealers inventory) are about the same as you getting a free trip to the moon.

    Totally off-topic,

    Your post made me think of a movie I loved. But it wasn't a free trip to the moon, it was a free trip to "Earth 2".
