Nothing very high grade, just looking for some fun historical coins for my family tree. Starting with Poland. Talking to some members here as well.

Would Vcoins be a good place to start? Is looking on eBay just asking for trouble?

I think eBay's bad reputation with some people is undeserved. You will find a lot more selection there and probably pay less for it. In my experience these private sellers with their own sites charge way too much.

By the way, I'd have to check but I don't think Poland had many coins in the 19th century since it was occupied by Austria and Russia.

Well, despite the occupation there are several pieces - basically "Russian Polish" coins, partly with a dual (ruble/złoty) denomination. Some of them were even, until the 1860s, minted in Warsaw. Here is a Polish language Wikipedia page which has several pictures - mostly drawings but (closer to the bottom) also a few photos. https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monety_polskie_Królestwa_Kongresowego
