    It doesn't matter. According to the rules of Roman numbers, the only two possibilities are V and I, and it's not an I.

    Gothic florins in that shape are not worth much over melt; it's sterling, 0.3364 ounce. It's also the most common date of its type.

    I paid going rate on eBay. I've wanted one cheap for years, and one finally turned up out of a dealer's booth.

    A decent is example is over $150
