Those are the best. I dream about coins at least once a week. My last one was that I found a variety worth $18k. In my dream, my wife started suggesting how to spend the money once it was sold, haha! Post your coin dreams!
Had one last week. I was in some deep forest and all of a sudden this beautiful girl appears and she has a coin in her hand, a Strawberry Leaf Cent. She ask me "do you want me or this coin?" I said that's not a hard question at all, I'll take the coin. I slowly walked over to get the coin and when I reached out to get it she turned into T-REX and bit my head off. Woke up, went to the bathroom with a smile on my face.
Not exactly coins, but last night I was researching a counterstamp that I bought a few weeks ago, and the internet just died. I had like seven tabs open that had something or another to do with the coin. Instead of the typical "Sorry, we killed your internet. Do you want your pages opened again?" message, I got nothing. Kind of frustrating. When I went to sleep, I had a dream that the tabs magically reappeared. Does that count?
Of course it counts. There's no higher calling than researching counterstamps. BTW, did the tabs reappear? Bruce
Nope. They were not extremely hard to find though. The counterstamp came with a serial number, so I guess I had it easy. All told, it was my first counterstamp and I bought it on an impulse. I saw you post one similar to it, and expect to have a thread about it up soon enough. Something about a certain N. J. Tracy on it.
Take away the beautiful girl and T-rex, and this story is pretty close to reality for one of my friends. He was offered a large cent the was damaged for $25. He got home and took a closer look, and there it was. A strawberry cent. I know he got an article in coinworld for it after pcgs authenticated it. Back to the topic…I dream about crazy good finds and then wake up and I am extremely disappointed that it was not real!
The Tracy stamps are common but are usually struck up nice. I have a straight stamp but there are some known in a curved ribbon. Looking forward to seeing yours. Bruce
I dream that I was locked in a room filled with coin like Scrooge McDuck. It then turn into a nightmare when I slowly sink down and suffocated from all the coin.
