It seems like this coin is maybe a Newcomb 45? I can't find many die varieties that look like it and I was just curious if it was anything worthwhile. On the date the last 1 is basically touching the dentils and there is the weird looking nub that sticks out on the right side of the first 1.

    Thank you,

New to posting but been lurking for some time.

It could be a N-45 or an N-5 Can not tell if there is a lump on the lower left corner of E in cent on reverse by your pics. Look closely at that area under magnification. If there is a lump than its a 45. If no lump than its an N-5. 45 has R4 rarity and N-5 has R-2 rarity.

yes it does. although I am not that experienced yet with this attributing stuff I would agree with your N-45 call. There is a member on here named beef1020 that will most likely see your post and comment. He is very good at it. R4 coins sometimes have premiums and sometimes not so much. Beef has a Robinson Quotes publication that has a census with it for different die varities. He might be able to help with value. Jerry

Thanks, I'm not experienced at it either but the alignment of the date caught my eye enough to try to figure it out. I appreciate your help with it.
