Unknown Token

    Can anyone identify this token? No telling when I picked it up and doubt it is worth anthing just have no idea what it is.

    Its an alladins castle token...it is (or was) a video game place.

    I used to pay video games there when I was young.

    The OP's token is identifed as ZCD in Alpert & Smith's book on amusement tokens. This octagon token should be 21mm, and there are minor variations of this token. There are tokens identical to those, but made of nickel plated brass, as well as 23mm round ones - again in both brass and nickel plated brass. All are listed as having a value of .25 in the 1984 book, and IMO they have not increased in value over the years.

    The Aladdin's Castle arcade chain was founded by Chicago businessman Jules Millman in the 1960's. He noted that coin games were mostly in undesirable places such as taverns, and decided to open a chain of family arcades in suburban shopping malls. Bally Mfg. Corp bought out Aladdin's Castles over 350 arcades.
