Found a 1943 s Mercury Dime with what seems to be Die error/ struck through

    Notice the splashing around the E s DIM

    most soder comes off if you reheat then flash freeze it or melt it off

    Yup, solder. That coin had a pin soldered to it to be used as a piece of jewelry.

    Yup solder. Looks like it used to be a pin or button just like rickmp said.
