Perhaps a stupid question, but what is the weight of a 2018 Jamaica $1 coin? I have found two really different answers online and can't reconcile them. I see 2.9 g and 3.65 g. Is there a silver version?

The one dollar (round) nickel plated steel is 3.65gr.
The one dollar (heptagonal) nickel plated steel is 2.9gr, but they stopped producing that one in 2008

I have been to Jamaica many times... never seems to amaze me..in many ways... like seeing an Esso sign on a gas station... better yet the price for gallon of... not sure if they have an imperial gallon but the price was....$600.00 @ gallon! Jamaican money isnt worth much ...

Yes so true. In 1973 a Jamaican Dollar was rated at 1.10 USD and now there is about 155 J$ per USD!

A friend from India told me that when the oil company got unionized, ESSO was said to mean Every Saturday Sunday Off :)
